Born from the fertile underground metal scene of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, ATTIKA emerged in 1983 with a singular vision: to craft classic heavy metal with power, precision, and soul. In an era defined by the rise of American metal, ATTIKA carved their own path — drawing from the twin-guitar traditions of British heavy metal while stamping every riff and chorus with distinctly American grit.
Their self-titled debut in 1988 became a sought-after rarity in the underground trading circles, a badge of honor among collectors of US power metal. The album When Heroes Fall, originally recorded in 1992, captured the band at a creative peak but remained unreleased for nearly three decades until its triumphant 2019 release coincided with the band's electrifying return to the live stage.
